I wanted to test from the lenses I own, (Raynox 0.3 wideangle, Nikon 50mm / DOF adapter) which worked best with tracking movements. I think its clear which is the winner. The adapter proved difficult for focus, and speed of the track and it was near impossible not to have any shake on the movements. The wideangle was pretty much point and shoot and the width of the angle helps to disuigse and camera wobble. I'm sure if you had better equipment, sterdier more solid bits of kit you can get some amazing shots with a DOF adapter, but for those that cant afford I hope this helps. Shot using HV20, TV120, Flourescent white preset. And my home made track. I've colour corrected some clips because I was bored. Comments welcome. Sim OH and the last shot was filmed using my tripod. No crane or jib.
